With some inner problem in mind you choose representatives who represent the family you live in now or the family you were born into. These representatives will notice emotions or consequences of events that happened within your family and they will often use language or gestures particular to your family. Through the positioning of these representatives a powerful energy field is being created and this energy field can be sensed by everybody. It helps the therapist to bring the mainly subconscious yet highly influential dynamic of a family system to the surface.
